This building located at 108 East Porter Street was built in 1880. It has served many purposes throughout the years: a harness shop, a meat market, the Clay City Times newspaper office (upstairs), several grocery stores, the Lake Mohawk Office, the Public Library, and now the Malvern Historical Society. It was donated to the Historical Society in 2000 by owner, Margaret Woods. This print was created from a photo taken on July 18,1908, when the building was a meat market and printing office. Standing on the step are John Weaver, Art Wadsworth, Art Lewis, and Gus Herman. The boys seated are John Dewell, Earl Robertson, and John Herman. |
